VENICE

waiting at jetty to go to venice...

On the boat... we were told that venice is sinking every year. The rise in sea water level is also a contributing factor.

The first team to move out!

Beautiful sceneries are everywhere. We will be passing through several bridges that link 'islands' together.

Our boat man. He can speak reasonably good english. According to him, the bracing on the wall of the houses as shown above him act as reinforcement to strengthen the structures.

St Mark's Square. The biggest square.... there are lots of pigeon here. we classified them as 'pigeon without flying license' cos they can really fly into your face if u are not careful.(haha) They are not afraid of people and people can feed them with food (1 euro per pac). We actually wanted to buy a pac and feed the pigeons ourselves but esther is afraid of 'bird flu'. We took a photo of a lady feeding the birds instead.
